Should crawl?

Are children who do not crawl signifies a developmental disorder, or would adversely affect the future? There are no data to be sure.

Experts say that child therapists in the United States, crawling is an important achievement in child development that affect the long term. With no hands and knees, upper body muscles including the child's muscles become less skilled hands. The effect will be seen on the child's ability to support the upper body, which is required when a child writes, dressing, climbing or lifting the body out of the pool. According to these experts, children who do not crawl, slower to master the skills of this kind.

On the other hand, the child's medical experts in the United States argues the opposite. According to them, there are no data showing the negative impact is not crawling. In fact, many children who do not crawl, do not run into any obstacles in its development. According to them, crawling is not as important as other achievements such as walking and standing.

While still a debate to the experts, do not worry too much if your baby was not crawling. Discuss it with your pediatrician, especially if there are other achievements that have not mastered such as baby sitting unassisted, or too dominant on the side of the body.
Here are two reasons why children get less chance to crawl:

• Children find another way to move. Be careful you know, children can be picked up too much lazy to try on their own to move.

• Children too many laid back. Supine position is highly recommended when children sleep to prevent SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). But, when he wakes up should be balanced with the stomach.
A good activity to stimulate crawling is tummy play or play activities on a mattress / carpet where the child is placed lying on his stomach or face down (not during sleep). Then, share your favorite toys surrounding him. In this way, children are expected to reach a crawl driven toys.
